Day - 1 : Guwahati
Arrival at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station by early of the day and transfer to Hotel for fresh up. Then visit to the Kamakhya Temple and visit to the Umananda –the smallest river island amidst the River Brahmaputra where an 15th century old temple of Ahom era is situated. Afterwards visit to the Assam State museum –a treasure trove of Art & heritage of Assam. or In the Evening visit to Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakhetra – a centre of Art & culture. If time permits may visit to the Bashistha temple and may go for shopping indigenous Assamese product of Pat /Muga silk etc. Or In the late evening at 6 PM we have the option of taking a river cruise on River Brahamaputra for an hour/ Dinner Cruise for 2.30 hr.
Day - 2 : Guwahati Shillong
In the morning after having breakfast transfer to Shillong in Meghalaya at the distance of 120 KM in 2.30 hrs. On the way to Shillong we halt near the Umium lake. This Umium Lake is, most popularly known as the Barapani lake. Sprawled over a vast area of Water body, the lake is a treat for nature lovers. Breathtaking views of the lake are the highlights of this heavenly place and tourists can have enjoyment of boating here. Before reaching Shillong we visit the DonBosco Museum of Indigenous Culture-a Showcase of North Eastern Culture & Heritage. In the evening we visit Shillong city or Ward lake visit and Shillong Golf Course visit. (If time permits Beadon-Bishop falls or Elephant falls can be visited) ( Ward lake is a must see in Shillong. It is a beautifully landscaped lake, which offers boating facility to the visitors. Shillong Golf Course established in 1924 is another attraction with an 18-hole course. ) Check in to the Hotel/Guest house for overnight stay. In the late evening we can explore the Police Bazar area for some local shopping.
Day - 3 : Shillong Cherrapunjee
After breakfast transfer to Cherapunjee at a distance of 70 KM in 2 hrs. On the way we halt near the Duen Singh Siyem Bridge to capture the ridges of the Blue hills and capture few scenic shots. Cherrapunjee popularly known as Sohra. Enjoy the day amidst the breathtaking views of foggy valleys and rivers in Cherrapunjee, we explore the 340 metre high Nohkalikai falls –known as the tallest one in India & World’s fourth highest. Along the way to Nohkalikai Falls, you can explore Dain Thlen Falls, a scenic and relatively crowd-free waterfall…the Mawsmai Lime stone Caves. Tour to the Thangkharang Park, which is located 12 km away from Cherrapunji – must see as a popular tourist spots that offers you a panoramic view of Bangladesh. (Cherrapunjee is known for handicrafts, especially items made from cane and bamboo. Stalls and shops selling cane and bamboo artefacts ranging from mementos to furniture and good quality orange flower honey.)
Day - 4 : Cherrapunjee Dawki Mawlynnong
After breakfast we are going to Dawki to visit the Indo-Bangla border gate (the Indo-Bangla Maitry dwar). Depends on Time and weather we can avail the opportunity of Boat Ride to explore the crystal clear water river –the Umngot near Dawki. Then we are coming down to Asia’s cleanest village Mawlyngnong, enjoy the stay near the Living Root Bridge, Old Church of the Epiphany -the only church inside Mawlynnong village build in 1902, Sky walk to 85 feet Bamboo structure called Masan that offers a bird's eye view of the village and a panoramic view of Bangladesh plains and have Lunch in traditional Khasi or Indian Dishes in the village. Day - 5 : Cherrapunjee Mawsynram
After breakfast early in the morning transfer to Mawsynram covering 85 KM in 2.45 hrs for sightseeing. On the way we halt near the Mawsynbuin cave. Mawsyram is one of the highest rainfall area of the World. For Topography, Natural vegetation and adventure activities Mawsynram is a fabulous destination for tourists.
Day - 6 : Mawsynram Mawlyngba
At a distance of 20 km amidst serenity Mawlyngba is a pristine location ever to remember. Apart to that Mawlyngba is a place for adventure activities like Kayaking, Zip lining, Boating , tenting etc.
Day - 7 : Mawsynram Guwahati
Early in the morning transfer to Guwahati for departure covering a distance of 178 KM in 5 hrs.
Day - 8 : Departure
Early in the morning will visit Kamakhya temple if not visited in Day 1. Then will proceed to Guwahati Airport /Railway Station for departure of the Tourists for the onward journey to home remembering the sweet memories of Assam & Meghalaya.
